• /vin/{vin} — decodes a 17-character VIN (make, model, year, trim, body, engine, transmission, drivetrain) and returns the closest catalogue match with one signed image_url per view your plan allows. Read vehicle.confidence to judge the match. vehicle.matched: false means nothing suitable exists, and the decoded data is still returned.
• /plate/{plate} — the same for a registration number, with ?country= for non-UK plates. The detected paint colour is mapped onto a catalogue colour and applied to the images automatically.
• features.vin, features.plate and features.search_allowed in /api/me — both lookups are opt-in per key and return 403 until enabled.

• गलत VINs और रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबरों को 400 के साथ अस्वीकार किया जाता है, इससे पहले कि कोई लुकअप किया जाए, इसलिए टाइपो कभी भी एक रिक्वेस्ट का खर्च नहीं उठाता.
