Dunham & Co runs fourteen rooftops on the east coast. Every car that arrived had to wait for a photographer before it could go online.
The problem
In practice a vehicle sat two days between arrival and listing: one for the shoot, one for editing and upload. In a fast market that is two days of a car not being seen.
Weather made it worse. A wet week pushed the queue out to five days and produced photos nobody was proud of.
What changed
New arrivals are now listed from the rendered image immediately, and the real photos follow when they are ready.
- Vehicle looked up by VIN at intake, image requested in the same step.
- Listing goes live the same hour the car is booked in.
- On-site photos are added later as extra gallery items, not as a blocker.
The result
The photography team still exists, but it is no longer in the critical path. Editing time dropped by more than ninety percent because the standard listing image needs no editing at all.
The photographer used to be the bottleneck for the whole sales floor. That queue is gone.
