Invarion leases to businesses. A customer picks a model, a trim and a color, and signs for three years without ever standing next to the car.
The problem
The configurator showed one photo per model, usually the launch press shot in whatever color the manufacturer chose. Everything else was a color swatch and a leap of faith.
Photographing every combination was never realistic. A single model line can carry more than eighty trim and color pairings.
What changed
Every configurator step now requests the exact configuration as an image.
- Color changes repaint the actual studio shot, so metallic reads as metallic.
- Eight exterior angles plus interior views for the detail step.
- The same request powers the quote PDF and the contract summary.
The result
Sales stopped fielding calls asking what a color actually looks like. The team also retired an internal image library that three people had been maintaining by hand.
We used to show a silver car and a color swatch. Now people see the car they are about to lease.
