Morance insures private vehicles. Its quote flow and its claims tooling both need to show the customer which car is being discussed.
The problem
Images came from a mix of manufacturer material and stock libraries, gathered over years by different teams. Nobody could say with confidence which licenses covered which use.
The visuals were also often wrong. A quote for a 2019 estate showed the 2023 saloon.
What changed
Every system now requests the vehicle image by registration at the moment it is needed.
- Plate lookup returns the exact model year and trim.
- One licensed source across quote flow, claims tooling, the app and customer letters.
- No image library to maintain and no local copies to keep in sync.
The result
Quote handling got measurably quicker because agents stopped correcting the vehicle shown. The bigger win was quieter: a licensing question that had been open for years simply closed.
Legal stopped asking where our car images come from. That alone was worth the switch.
