Catalogue Data Specialist

Own the vehicle catalogue: which cars exist, what they are called, and why a customer thinks one is missing when it is not.

Department: OperationsLocation: Kirchheimbolanden or remote within the EUType: Full-timeHours: 40 h/weekStart: As soon as possible

What you will do

The catalogue is the product. Two thousand models across a hundred brands, and the work is keeping it honest.

  • Add new models and model years as manufacturer data arrives, usually months before the first car is built
  • Resolve naming mismatches, which are the single most common reason a customer reports a vehicle as missing when it is present under another name
  • Work through customer error reports: a wrong colour, a wrong generation, the odd vehicle returning the wrong image entirely
  • Keep the naming consistent enough that a partner querying our API does not need to know our internal history
  • Spot the gaps before a customer does, particularly in the long tail of previous generations and short-lived trims

What you bring

  • You know cars, or you are the kind of person who will know them in three months
  • You are comfortable in spreadsheets and in an API response, and you can tell when the two disagree
  • You are precise about naming. This job is largely about being precise about naming
  • German and English, both good enough to write a clear answer to a customer
  • No degree required. We care what you can do with a catalogue, not where you learned it

What we offer

  • Ownership of the part of the product customers judge us on
  • Direct contact with the partners using the catalogue, rather than a ticket queue between you and them
  • Remote within the EU, or a desk in Kirchheimbolanden if you prefer one
  • A team small enough that a fix you make is live the same day
